SIX POINTS THEATER presents

by Jake Brasch
Josh is a charming college student who takes a leave from school and returns home to get sober. There, he reconnects with his four grandparents. Shrimpy is outspoken and brash as he prepares for his bar mitzvah at age 83. His ex-wife, Bev, is loving but tough as nails. Hank is a judgmental conservative evangelical, while his wife, Irene, remains endlessly sweet as she experiences cognitive decline.
Josh soon becomes consumed with improving his grandparents’ lives. As he focuses on fixing the people around him, he loses sight of his own recovery. Eventually, he is forced to confront himself, his family and an uncertain future. Both funny and deeply moving, The Reservoir explores addiction, memory, generational bonds and the complicated ways families care for one another.

"There's alcoholism, there's Alzheimer's, there's a fractured family, but it's still so goddamn funny."
