Our ushers are the friendly faces who greet patrons at the theater. While experience is not necessary, it is always appreciated. Before your first shift you will be trained and given a tour to allow you to best serve the patrons coming to the show. Scheduling is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Ushers are required to stay for the whole performance giving you a chance to see all of what the theater has to offer.

Duties

• Stuffing programs/distributing them to patrons

• Verifying tickets

• Helping patrons to their seats

• Staying through the performance to assist with any needs

• Walking quickly through the theater to pick up programs after each performance

Requirements

• Easily navigate stairs

• Stand for as long as 30 minutes

• Physically assist disabled patrons as needed

• Assist all patrons in case of emergency

Commitment :

Volunteer ushering requires you to be on your feet and able to move up and downstairs. Some light lifting may be required. Volunteer Usher hours vary. Time commitment is usually three hours per shift.

Scheduling and Attendance Policy

We understand conflicts and emergencies arise, however, two “no-shows” to scheduled usher shifts could result in removal from the volunteer program. We rely on our ushers to be present and up to the task at hand for an entire shift providing excellent customer service to our patrons.
