In two distinct time periods, a pair of couples whose marriages were "arranged" are navigating changes in their relationships when a movie star enters the picture, shaking up at least one union's delicate balance. Playwright Anna Ziegler said she was partly inspired by flirty email exchanges between actor Natalie Portman and writer Jonathan Safran Foer.
