Manager of Audience Services

Six Points Theater is seeking a full-time Manager of Audience Services (MAS). The MAS ensures smooth operations of Six Points Theater’s office and theater venue with a primary goal of ensuring that audiences’ experiences are enjoyable, enriching, and rewarding.
Roles and Responsibilities
Audience Support (50%)
Act as the primary point of contact for audience needs and ensure a smooth audience experience in-office and at the theater. Tasks include answering the phone, processing voicemails, general audience correspondence, managing patron records in our patron database, processing season ticket and individual ticket orders, setting up the theater and operating the box office before, during, and after some performances.
Audience Engagement (10%)
In collaboration with other staff, plan, and implement Doorways programs, our series of programs designed to provide greater understanding and enjoyment of the plays we present and deeper insight into the subjects and issues they address. These programs can be pre-show, post-show, or in the community on non-show days. The MAS can expect to schedule three Doorways programs per production.
Event Management (10%)
Serve as a member of the annual benefit committee alongside the Managing Director and board members. Staff the annual benefit and provide support as needed. Provide leadership and support for other fundraising events as needed.

Team Leadership (10%)
Our theater support staff includes a part-time box office manager, a part-time house manager, and several volunteer ushers. The MAS will be responsible for recruiting, training, and scheduling these roles, ensuring sufficient front-of-house staffing for each production.
Report Generation (10%)
Using our patron database, generate weekly box office reports, post-show reports, and other reports as needed.

Financial Management (5%)
Track incoming ticket and donation revenue, prepare cash and checks, and make weekly bank deposits.

Other Office Support (5%)
Monitor our PO box, order office supplies, prepare donor correspondence, and other duties as assigned.

Benefits
Starting Salary: $35,000-$40,000
Other: PTO includes vacation, sick days, and legal and Jewish holidays; monthly stipend for health care, annual SEP retirement contribution.

Founded as Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company in 1994, Six Points Theater is nationally-recognized as the preeminent independent professional theater in the United States that looks at life through a Jewish lens. Six Points Theater is located in one of the most lively theater and arts communities in the United States with more than 30 professional theaters including the Guthrie Theater. Because of the strong theater community, SPT is able to draw from a strong pool of professional actors, directors and other theater artists. Unique in the country, Minnesota passed a sales tax in 2008 to support organizations and programs in the arts, humanities, and environment. The Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund has helped to strengthen the ability for all Minnesota arts organizations to fulfill their missions.
